EduPlatform LMS ("we", "our", or "us") is a learning management system provided to educational institutions. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our platform.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: Name, email address, and role (student, teacher, admin) provided during registration.
- Attendance data: QR scan records, timestamps, and class attendance history.
- Payment records: Fee payment history managed by your institution (no card details are stored by us).
- LMS content: Course materials, assignments, quiz submissions, and progress data uploaded or generated within the platform.
- Google account (optional): When you choose to upload files via Google Drive, we request temporary access to your Google account solely to upload or retrieve files on your behalf. We do not store your Google credentials or access your Drive beyond the files you explicitly upload through this feature.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the LMS platform for your institution.
- To record and report attendance to administrators and teachers.
- To manage course materials, assignments, and student progress.
- To send SMS notifications (if enabled by your institution) about attendance and fee reminders.
- To allow teachers to upload course materials to their own Google Drive when using the Drive integration.
4. Google Drive Integration
Our platform offers an optional Google Drive integration for uploading course materials. When you use this feature:
- You will be asked to sign in to your Google account and grant permission to upload files.
- Files are uploaded directly to your own Google Drive — not to our servers.
- We only access your Drive to perform the upload action you explicitly request.
- We do not read, modify, or delete any other files in your Drive.
- You can revoke this access at any time via your Google Account settings.
Our use of Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be shared only in the following circumstances:
- With your educational institution (administrators and teachers) as required to operate the platform.
- With SMS service providers solely to deliver attendance and fee notifications (if enabled).
- When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
7. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your institution's account is active. Upon account termination, data may be deleted within 90 days unless retention is required by applicable law.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to institutional requirements).
- Withdraw consent for Google Drive access at any time.
